Notre Dame de Namur University Master Plan Initial Study

City of Belmont

I have prepared several CEQA documents for new schools, school expansions and facilities master plans, including the Notre Dame De Namur University Master Plan EIR for the City of Belmont, the Gregori High School EIR and Enochs High School EIR for Modesto City Schools, the Tracy Learning Center EIR for the Tracy Unified School District, the Sequoia Charter School Initial Study for the Sequoia Union High School District, the Tehiyah Day School Initial Study for the City of El Cerrito, and the Buena Vista Ave/Parkside Drive Safe Routes to School Project Initial Study for the City of Walnut Creek.
I prepared an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration for a facilities Master Plan for a 300,000-square foot expansion of the Notre Dame de Namur University campus in Belmont. The campus occupies the historic Ralston estate and includes Ralston Hall, a designated National Historic Landmark built in 1853. The 15-year Master Plan included new student dormitories, student center, technology center, athletic facilities, parking structure, circulation improvements, and numerous urban design amenities such as a new university quadrangle. The Initial Study included detailed assessments of land use compatibility, traffic, parking, and aesthetics as part of the University’s ongoing relationship with surrounding single-family residential neighborhoods. Other important issues included soils and geology, drainage and water quality, historic resources, and public facilities.
